چکیده

The axilla is the main communication channel connecting upper limbs, neck and chest. Stabilization of internal structure essential for limb shoulder mobility. In this case, we observed recorded characteristics variation radial nerve as well intercalated ectopic muscle from latissimus dorsi muscle. position relationship between both, was also particularly noted by us. view presence reported, related clinical research, surgery disease diagnosis are expected to take case into account.

A Rare Anatomical Variation of Sciatic Nerve and its Relationship with Piriformis Muscle

Sciatic nerve is the thickest nerve of the body which is formed by ventral branches of L4, L5, S1, S2 and S3 of spinal nerves as a part of sacral plexus in pelvis. It leaves the pelvis via the greater sciatic foramen below piriformis muscle and descends between the greater trochanter and ischial tuberosity, along the back of the thigh and dividing into the tibial and common peroneal (fibular) n...

Scalp Reconstruction With Free Latissimus Dorsi Muscle

DESCRIPTION A 61-year-old man presents with invasive basal cell carcinoma of the scalp. Composite resection results in a 280-cm 2 scalp defect of the outer and inner table. Titanium mesh was used to reconstruct the calvarial defect, while reconstruction of the scalp wound was accomplished with a free latissimus dorsi (LD) flap plus split-thickness skin graft.

introduction of a variation in latissimus dorsi muscle (the axillary arch of langer)

conclusions the axillary arch variation is very clinically important, because it may entrap and implicate the neurovascular bundle. also it is important for surgeons during operation, so they need to be aware of possible presence of such variations. case presentation during routine dissection, we encountered an aberrant slip of muscle and fascia expanded from latissimus dorsi to pectoralis majo...

Compartmentalization of the Latissimus Dorsi Muscle

This anatomical study provides a detailed description of the thoraco-dorsal artery, vein and nerve systems within the latissimus dorsi muscle. The nerve and vascular relationships in ten fresh cadaveric latissimus dorsi muscle specimens, were analysed. Radio-opaque material was injected into the thoraco-dorsal artery, while the thoraco-dorsal nerve and its main branches were dissected and label...

Langer’s axillary arch (axillopectoral muscle): a variation of latissimus dorsi muscle

Best-known variant structure of the axillary components of men is a muscular or fibro-muscular slip extending from the latissimus dorsi muscle to the tendons, muscles or fasciae of the superior part of the humerus. This variation had first described by Ramsay in 1795 and confirmed by Langer in 1864 and named as axillary arch of Langer. Although different frequencies have been reported from cada...
